Tball Makeup Game

Vivi is learning a lot and is getting to be a good hitter. Every game she says that she got a home run. Tonight she tried out catching for the first time and hammed it up in the dugout.

Christmas in February

I am blessed to have a group of girlfriends that I have had for over two decades. In the case of Ce Ce we are have been friends for three decades. In preparation of our joint trip to worship at the altar of Buffet, I wanted to briefly recap our last meeting of the minds.
Each year we get together to celebrate Christmas. This year we took a road trip to Laura's house. We all made it except for our friend, Starbuck.
Shopping, eating, drinking, talking, laughing and dancing were the main events. We also laid some groundwork for a getaway during the year we all turn 40.
Here's a picture of us minus Mongs.

Nothing quite makes me as happy as hanging out with these fine women.

Vivi and The Pussycats

This pic was taken a few weeks ago when it was a bit warmer. Viv put this ensemble together all on her own and, not following Coco Channel's advice, picked up the tiger ears as she walked out the door.

While I Was Out, Part 1

A lot has happened during my blog hiatus that started in July and ended a little over a month ago. Vivi turned 4. Grandma G and Baba have visited a few times. Lots of cookies and brownies have been made at Grandma Betty and Bill's. Plus, Vivi got a new haircut to boot. Here are some pics from the past several months.
Due to limitations of my blogging ap, I'll be splitting this mass catch up over a few posts.

Enjoying some bubble bath booty from the Easter Bunny.

Easter Recap

We had a very nice Easter. Vivi was in not one, not two, not three but FOUR East Egg Hunts. Needless to say, we are up to our eyeballs in candy.

The first two hunts were through school. The annual one at the daycare and the second at a retirement home. Vivi's teacher, Tiffany, took this awesome pic the day of the first hunt.

On Easter, we went over to Grandma Betty's and Grandpa Bill's. I made a disastrous salad called Banana Ole, which luckily I did not take a picture of, and Vivi had a good time with her cousin's Mason, Maddie and Katie.

Then we headed over to Aunt Eva's house and spent time with my family. As Eva said on Facebook about this hunt, "No fights. No injuries. It was a miracle ."

Happy Easter!

First T-ball Game

Tonight was Vivi's first game. It was mayhem but the girls had fun. Vivi threw the one ball she was able to field like a jai alai player but got a couple good hits. While we were trying to get our girls to not play in the dirt and not fight over ground balls, the other team was making plays at all of the bases and tagging the girls as they came into home. But, like I said they had fun!

Vivi is a Bullet

Vivi had her first t-ball practice tonight. Her team name is the Bullets, which I love! She is playing with her best friend, Evan, and our friend, Chris, is the coach.

She was so excited that she gave me a heartfelt kiss when I was buckling her in to go to practice.

In between playing in the dirt, dancing around and frequent water breaks, Vivi learned some of the basics: throwing, hitting and running.

Go Bullets!
